Recently I made some fun guard conversions and thought I'd Share them with you.

First is my Dakka Chimera, which as you can see has its multi las off, and a twin linked heavy bolter has been put in its place.

Next is my Supreme Commander, Colonel Kämpfer, He has a SM bolter with butt, and a power sword filed down from a chainsword.

Last is my neat plasmaguner with a catachan sentinel pilot head and the standard flamer to plasma gun conversion.

C&C welcome, but may not be tolerated.

Sorry, but the sword is really off. You should probably start fresh, and give them a more careful cleaner look. The power sword just looks like a fire happened to melt the crap out of a chainsword...

Agreed

It looks sloppy, the angles hes holding his bolter are off aswell.

The chimera's good though

And it will look so good when you even out the rough spots with some greenstuff

Not so big on the officer or the chimera... not bad though for somthing simple.

I do like the idea behind the plasma gun though... never thought if that

If you don't like the paint on the chimera thats fine because I suck more than anything at painting anything bigger than a sentinel. But if it's not the paint why don't you like the chimera.

I know the sword isn't great (at all) but that took so long to "complete" that I dare not attempt again until i have a power sander or something along those lines.

I'm glad that people at least like the plasma gun guy he is my favorite and after he's done he will go in the "really good looking models" squad.

Hahaha...

I just think the bolters look a little fat to be in it together... sorta out of place.

the reason why i did it is because before I had an autocannon in the turret and i never hit anything so I made it bolters. if I could do a twinlinked assault cannon that would take the cake.

If you could find someone selling a Baal Predator turret you'd be set there. I think the turret would fit the look of a Chimera.
