This may be a weird request but I'm thinking of using models to decorate a dangerous pets cage, so I need help with the idea of crashed ships or tanks and dying or dead people. I have not had a Lot of experience with using skeletons (I want them to be real dead looking if its going to end up being sand themed.

Any help is great, ask me anything if it helps you help me.

Easy way would be getting some Kehmir(?) whfb skellies and convert them a bit. Rotten bodys can be made from Vampire Count zombies..

Tomb-king models would be purrrfect for a scorpion. Cause, you know, the whole desert thing.

Unless its a scorpion from South America... then maybe some Lizardmen would be in order.

I certainly wouldn't listen to me, though.

To get the dead model look just shot it with a gun

Just get some skeletons to paint and put them in dead like positions, and try and rip part of the tanks top off.

get any unit, fully ecuip him, but dont use his legs yet, and get some green stuff and make it look like its guts are "floating" out. that should give a cool effect (like the dude in black hawk down)

There are the Warhammer zombie sprues and in the Mordheim game they have dead bodies.

for dead models try major flesh wounds, take a pin vise w/ the largest bit and drill a hole into a models torso/head and then take a swiss amry knife and rotate the knife inside of the hole until it is widened to look like a crater, sculpt greenstuff around the edge so it looks like the crater was blown outward, thats how I make my copses, plus skeleton parts and some zombie bitz, and your in buisness, the zombie torso with the intestines is escpecially useful.
