Default Plastic Terminator Conversions

I've been working on modifying the old plastic terminators to make them look a bit more dynamic and also to give them a more unified feel with the rest of the company.

So far, on this test model, I made a Stormbolter from two standard bolters and swapped the fist with the one from the Space Wolf sprue (shaving off the wolf symbol - apologies to the Sons of Russ). The torso was extended just a little (barely noticeable, I will increase that next time) to give the terminator a little extra height and fill the gap. Next, I chopped off the left leg and posed it at a slight angle outward - as if he was turning - and used GS to sculpt in the gap and add the top leg details back in (I also moved the belt buckle to the side and GSed the belt and fixed the crotch piece). A targetter was added to the right carapace top (GS and a bit of rod), a GS skull was added to the helmet (like the metal terminators) and a purity seal was added to the back of the right shoulder pad.

I wanted to know if y'all had any further suggestions or ideas - especially any ideas for how to make the helmets more unique.

First terminator is using a heavy flamer:

Started on a second terminator using the Stormbolter from the original guy:

And, for those Space Hulk missions, pieced together my CAT and got him started (sorry, he is primered up):

They still look a little boxy - I am going to swing out the arms a bit and add some of the ribbing to it.

The new guy still needs GS work on the back where the torso meets the waist.

The company uses a lot of Imperial Eagle heraldry - and I have been slowly converting the non-devastators to beaky style helmet. The chapter is the Golden Eagles, their heraldry is an eagle head and they often use the Imperial Eagle on their armor. I was thinking of fashioning the helmets a some way similar to the honor guard pics, or just hawking out the noses. I was also thinking about adding a laurel or some other decoration to the bare area of the power fist. May also add the little lights that the old terminators had on the top (from Space Hulk days) - or a spot light similar to a apothecary.

I did just see Grey Death's terminators, they have given me some new ideas as well*

I was only able to get 2 of your links to work.
The ohters took me to outlook express mail?

But I like thema nd your green stuff work is good.

I just dont know what to say about the helmets other than adding to them?
Green stuff to enlarge them a little or plates on them to add armor or switching them out for mairne heads?

Good stuff and good luck.

Doh!

I obviously hit the wrong button when going to make the links... they are all fixed now and should be proper hyper links, sorry all!

After seeing your stuff, I think I might be adding some pouches and such to them, have to see how it looks

Scout terminator?? Not sure what you mean. Hope to start painting up these guys some time in Jan/Feb, want to get the squad built first - need to make an assault cannon, another SB and a sarge

oh, it was late and I misskimmed the second as scout, and it was solidified as it was helmetless. IMO termis not w/ helmet should be reserved for masters, but its your conversion. ;D

Default Oh:)

Ah, now I see - I am actually thinking about using Green Stuff to make a filter mask - the helmet will be on his belt.
