Well......
Plague marine don't come to my store often but space marines and chaos space marines come in their thousands. So then I think that it would be a good idea to convert these space marines into nurgle. So with that, I have 2 question 1)How do I make them disqusting(in terms of conversion)? 2)Is it better to convert from SMs or CSMs?

Well...
CSM have the lining on their armour, and come with spikes and mutations which make the chaos marines more... well... chaotic. So I'd buy chaos. As for converting... My friend used greenstuff and just plopped some on in certain areas randomly. Making imprints or anything in the bulging flesh made from the greenstuff. You can always buy deathgaurd marines aswell... Use colours such as catachan green and fleshy colours. Make the flesh look putrid, and disgusting. Brown ink could help in this situation.

Myself, i use 1 different thing for every squad:
Squad one: Newbies: I used a 50/50 mix of deathguard minis and Plastic CSMs. Basically model them as normal. before you prime, plop a blob of greenstuff onto a big exposed spot. then press the 3 dots into it, and drag the edges down with a knife/pin. Squad 2: Fatman: I used some Deathguard minis, and some plastic CSMs. the deathguard minis, model as normal (if they have the fat bellies) add green-stuff bellies to the plastic CSMs. Squad 3: Old Skool: I bought all the old skool death guard minis and used them as is. squad 4: Ventriloquists: For these guys, i used plastic, normal CSMs. on a shoulder pad or othe exposed area, put a cylinder of GS. Take a pin, and jab it into the top. twirl it around. repeat (2-3 per guy) they make some beautiul plague vents. attach as with squad one (edges + knife) Squad Five: Skinheads: On most of the exposed armor for these guys, put a layer of green stuff (quite thin) and then haphazardly press the blade of your knife in. it will start to look like their armor is organic, scarred flesh. use Plastic CSMs. These are my ways of converting Death guard, i'd like to hear other people's. |

go on the UK gw site. there is a thing about modeling greenstuff. it teaches you how to add fungal growths to things. they also show you how to make tentacles and other things. this should help.

Instead of just using GS, you should also experiment with milliputi. It's a little tougher, and it doesn't dry as rubbery. Some people prefer it to GS.

milliput is a whitish clear putty. it comes in a tube i believe or as a block. you mould it and then put it there. it is good, i used it in the past. i love using it as a filler. you can pick some up on www.micromark.com .

I know that chaos space marines can be converted to nurgle, but can you convert a khorne berserker into one? ove their helmet, and they came in greater quantity too. ![]() Currently a friend of mine want to sell his unpainted khorne berserker (12 in total) away for a pretty cheap price.
