I have an idea, how about you make 1 of your warriors a medic? You could use the grenades as some sort of medical canisters and tweak a couple other things. You'd also paint him slightly different and maybe write "medic" in Tau on his helmet. I'm thinking of doing this and just wanted to share the idea with you guys.

That sounds like a cool idea to me. I've got one that's kind of a scout, I suppose, with carbine hooked to his pack while he peers through a set of binoculars. Maybe you could cut the grenade thingy in two, put one of the halves in the medic's hand, and stick a bit of wire to the end of it, to look like some manner of syringe? Just an idea.

Sounds really cool.

What about converting him a little more with a vest like a cadian or somthing and make him an Earth caste medic?

Might work?

Or not just throwing that out there?

But either way sounds cool if you do it post him up I would love to see him... ;D

+++There's a topic on the off topic board which discusses the idea of Tau medics, or possibly medi-drones. Good idea if you ask me+++

You can also use tho body of the Tau tank commander as he have very interesting backpack, you only need to make his leg armored and give him FW hands and head. In this way you get differently looking specialist and is ut to you as who it will be presented.

I took some Kroot bits from a box to make some pretty cool looking fire warriors, the straps for the guns are great...

I have to agree, the kroot gunstraps are great.

and for a medic, why not just paint a white pand and some sort of red cross? (I know it might not be Tau insignia but who knows the Tau symbol for medic? hell even the word medic :P)

Default Red Cross, Crescent

Well, since the Red Cross symbol comes from religious origin - and this is why in the Mideast they have the Red Crescent - I would imagine they might just use one of their religious symbols for the greater good, likely even just the standard Tau symbol, but do it in Red over a White circle.

I would certainly want to see him converted in some way to stand out a little from the other FWs, either using GDs idea of the Cadian vest, or maybe an eldar guardian style body for something sleeker - he should look different, but not drastically so.

A few months ago I made an Embedded Tau Reporter and Microphone Drone for a friend of mine (I will ask him to bring them by so I can take pics for y'all) - got the idea for the reporter from the GW site, but gave him a more Tau looking camera.

Y'all have now inspired me to start thinking up a medic for him next
