Default Necromunda minis smaller than 40K...DOH!

Just recieved my Van Saar minis, and was really looking forward to converting them to the greater good. Only problem...these bastards are tiny! >

The Juve looks like a little kid..maybe I can convert them to all look young. The fluff would be that a group of Van Saar Juves joined the Tau after a massive border skirmish destroyed their base of operations. Anyway, does anyone have any tips on converting these guys' heads?

there are new necromunda minis?

The juves are supposed to look like children you now. they represent boys at about 14-15 years. And of course they are small.. they are not genetically engineered super human in power armour. On the other hand.. some of the imperial guard miniatures are to big.

Correction, Juves are 8-12 years old. By 14-15, they are seasoned killers.

I got 2 blisters.

One old, one new. The new ones have both head and weapon sprues with rifles, hand guns, and melee weapons. Each blister included 2 gangers and 1 juve. The juves look young, but even the ganger minis are a bit smaller than the Firewarriors.* You can really tell with the heads...I plopped a FW head on one of the new ganger models, and it was HUGE. It's much bigger than the actual ganger heads.

Now that I've had a few days to look them over, the Necromundas are indeed smaller, but not that small that you'de notice from the tabletop, so I'm just going to give them backpacks and weapon swaps and roll with it.*

Here are some pics...I think they fit well with TAU because they have high-tech body suits and the pony tails add a little to the fluff also. I was looking forward to giving them open-faced FW helmets like my Devilfish pilot: LINK-->http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y17...y/d4c545bd.jpg but the helmets are way too big.* :'(

Yeah the necromunda figures are a tad more realistic in scale (If you ignore the goliaths ). Is there any way you could sculpt helmets out of Green Stuff or milliput? The helmets aren't that detailed on the back.

Might take a stab at scratch bulding the helmets. Thanks for the advice.

Always knows everything that noone cares about.

OK, when I used to play Necro the models were about on scale with 40k models, but the juves are smaller than normal gangers. Also, you have to realize that flak armor is hardcore for a ganger to have, usually your normal dudes would be rockin cloth. I guess that could explain the bulkiness of the 40k models compared to Necro models.
