Reminds me of an old sci-fi story I read where a robot (kinda similar in the sense of humans not squishy in these things) practically forces the surrender of an entire alien race because it's a super strong and practically invulnerable being, the aliens thought everyone was like that and waved the white flag at that point.

Gen, you know it will be weaponized in some way if it works. That's practically the standard nature of humans by now.

True. But I've come to the conclusion that that is a facet of human civilisation and society and something that we may take to the stars if we survive ourselves.

We aren't predators so we don't kill for need, we are herbivores that kill for defense. In a sense we are wrong in that we kill to keep other scavengers away from what we deem ours, and what we deem ours is legion.

There is no necessity only greed to our lust for better and more destructive technologies, perhaps it is this greed that makes an intelligent species, if so then the fact that we have it is good. Yet the sample of one is a bad sample to judge anything from...
