Case- no idea, just some old recycled one
CPU- athlon 3700+ san diego 2.2Ghz
Ram- 1Gb corsair value select stuff (i'll probably get round to replacing this when minimum specs go up)
MoB- Asus A8N-SLI deluxe
Video Card- XpertVision 6600GT
optical- Samsung 16x Dvd burner
power supply- Antec 480W NeoPower
Sund Card- none...why bother? its not like i listen to music on this thing
Hard Drive- 80Gb Seagate 7200 RPM SataII

cooling- stock CPU fan and 3 case fans (no big deal here, either...the highest my CPU has ever hit has been like 46 degrees...nowhere near crisis point)

speakers- just some old boston acoustics...tho i'm getting a decent set of headphones instead...
keyboard- some boring old one...
monitor- 17" Mitsubishi diamondview (tho i'm probably getting a 19" one before too long)
mouse- boring old mouse...

benchmarks- 46 FPS in Doom3 without overclocking at 2x anisoptric filtering, 4x antialiasing, and 1024x768...it gets to about 49 FPS if i overclock the graphics card to 548 clock speed and 1078 bus speed

CPU: Intel Pentium 4, 2.4gHz
RAM: 512 MB
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 9600 PRO

All I know off the top of my head... F.E.A.R will run well on medium quality, but I'd like to run it up to see what the high-end looks like. HL 2/CS Source I can run on Medium no problems, High is... okay when I overclock.

Too true
The 'Thermaltake Beetle' may howl like a bloody jet engine but it sure keeps my (totally overclocked) 3000+ nice and frosty.

Default Re: Your PC

so here's mine:

compaq presario 6015CA (quite old now)
with extra 256 mb gibing me 512 mb.
have to wait till university for new comp.

got my dad new comp over the summer when i went back to where i came from.
bargained for like 2 hrs.

something like:
AMD Sempron 2600 or 2800? (something close to it well overclocked little for safety)
80GB WD Caviar drive
512 mb samsung
cd r/rw burner samsung(again)
dvd reader LG
sound/graphic on board the mother board (my dad don't play games :P)
case don't know name but quite impressive design. 2/3 case 1 cpu but there is a special hole thing right above CPU so it'll get cool air instead of other cases where it gets pre warmed air.
total cost: little over 300-350 cdn conversion from the currency i used. with cd burner and floppy/ monitor/ keyboard from old comp.
