So basically you are relying on Kugath bringing the number of kills up to 20?
With a list like this you need... I repeat NEED to use Daemon Princes. Add to that they need wings, otherwise most armies (as in all non gunline armies) will just run away denying your ability to get into close combat. Yes if the mission is objective based you'll have a slight advantage at first... then you'll start getting hit by things that deny your feel no pain and poof... Personally I would lose the instruments and the 3 soulgrinders. You might also need to reduce one of your squads to a couple models less than you have as you'll need about 200 points per daemon prince (wings, moNurgle, iron hide...). If you do that you might be able to eek out a couple of wins. The other problem I see is that, well honestly, Nurgle is the weakest of the pure god lists. Even with Epidimius its just not powerful enough to make up for the slow speed and low number of attacks. Either you need to do what I suggested and realize that you are doing it to have fun playing a fluffy army, or you mix in other units, remove epi and go for a balanced list. You'd be amazed what nurgle can do when he has some help from either Khorne or Slaanesh. I hope you take this as constructive criticism, as if you were to take your list as is to a large tournament you wouldn't place high.... And chaos needs to start taking the tournaments back >

It's an interesting idea, I've never seen an all nurgle demon list on the battlefield before so you must tell me how it goes. As Howboutloud said though, you are going to be SLOW. Which is generally not good. Your infantry are solid and tough, but if you can't get into combat they will just get shot to ribbons... using the winged demon princes, already mentioned, is an efficient way to up your speed a bit. The soulgrinders aren't bad exactly, it's just that you get more maneuverability (+the mark of Nurgle!) on the demon princes.
You could simply hold objectives and pray that you can not get shot to pieces by the end of the game. That's another idea. Regardless, I'd drop the instruments (you'd be better off with more plaguebearers)... A simple strategy that you may want to use is a simple pincer and lure: stick Epidemus and a squad of plague bearers almost dead center of the board. When your enemy realizes that Epidemus is giving you some serious upgrades, he'll try and take him down. Send ku'gath and a unit of plague bearers up one flank... your enemy will likely shy away from the imposing greater demon. Send the rest of your plague bearers towards the other flank. Your enemy will strike towards Epidemus, while trying to avoid the slow but powerful greater demon. The rest of your plaguebearers can whipe around and flank the enemy force, while your soul grinders hang back and shoot. As long as your plague bearers keep the objectives covered the enemy should be caught between your hammer, anvil, and bait. |

ALot of FnP going for you there. Well the only I think to see how an army performs is to use it and test drive the warmachine (lol... Been watching to much WWII doco's). But to me this list seems a little bit bland, like not enough variety but hey atleast it'll be good for objective only troop scoring missions.
