I'm mostly happy with that list except I'm not sure whether to replace the Predator with an Obliterator and free up some points for wargear and Melta bombs.
Also tell me if I've added up the points wrong.

I havn't got all these models yet so I want to know if there is anything else you would recommend. (I currently have the lord, 10 CSM and 10 Khorne Beserkers)

What is the role of the CSM Squad?

The Rhinos work best if they have no upgrades, and that way you can have 10 Berzerkers.

Nothing to say about this. It's solid.



Final thoughts: Overall theme seems a bit off. Your berzerkers are moving into close combat while your CSM will be footslogging to cover them. I suggest taking a daemon prince with wings and MoK and give your CSM a rhino.

It really depends on what you will be facing and how you like to play.

The CSMs are to provide some fire support so they will stay back try and kill off some people before the main assault.
I want 9 beserkers in each squad so I can attach the Chaos Lord to either one, as he isn't in termie armor he can jump in the transport with them. I thought the daemonic possesion was a good choice as it ignores crew shaken and crew stunned so my Rhino won't slow down for the rush to the front lines.

eh, for 40 pts you end up taking a risk that it wont even stun/shake and even then if its not firing the one chance that its stunned.

I would probably use it for landraiders, but not rhinos. Might as well cobble together a few more berzerkers, or something special from the power weapon department.

imo berzerkers are not at their best in rhinos, but they are cheap so it makes up for it. I love landraiders and berzerkers better, since they move 12 inches, and assault 6. Protection, assault, and rape.

Well I'll take away the upgrades on the rhinos then, free up some points. I doubt I can make room for a Landraider in a 1000 point list so that isn't a solution, Question is what should I do with the spare 40 points. I'll probably make 1 beserker squad a squad of 10 and give them Melta bombs. I'll update my list now. Is that a good way to use my new found 40 points?

you could run two landraiders, two squads of zerkers and an HQ

usually people dont prepare for that in low pt games and for three broadsides and a firewarrior its a steal

I don't think I can spare the money for 2 landraiders but that doesn't really seem balanced to me especially if I go against races like Tau (the horror of Twin-Linked rail guns.)[quote=pepsi]

My belief has always been to carry alot of str 7 weaponry for missile pods in low pt games like this.

I usually suspect transport/medium/light vehicles, not a landraider. Yet again, two broadsides is only 14% of the list.

i would advise a daemon prince or, if you dont want that, kick out some berserkers and the predator and get a defiler

I don't really want to lose any beserkers. I need enough to do a sunificant amount of damage without being blasted. I might drop a few of the CSM's and the Predator for a defilor though. I'd like to ask anyone whether this is a good idea. I need an anti-tank unit but i don't know what to go for, Obliterator and more troops, Average and a Predator or less troops and a Defiler. (Not 2 landraiders though. :-\ )
