Default Dawn of War Series

I think that it's absolute rubbish, the entire series, it just didn't take me for an excting story.

That's CS Goto for you. :
But seriously, a Guardsman, I'm willing to bet, could a) outshoot me, b) give me the beating of my life, and c) shove more squad-based tactics down my throat than I'd ever care to digest. Guard are hard, hard men. Whether or not GW's inconsistent, Marine-worshipping fluff keeps with that, mkay?

Real men fight in tanks!

I read some of CS Goto's work and it's not really exciting. About the Dawn of War Series, it's also the same. No excitement like in Dan Abett's novels.

It wasn't the best that I have ever read, but it was okay. Seen better though.

He's a shoddy writer, IMO. He could do some good stuff - I can forgive the braying, as I know how hard it can be writing, so bits like that, whilst feeling like rusty knives being put into my eyes, I can ignore.

Him shafting the background, physics, the background means I will never read another one by him. Scuse me for actually liking Eldar :

That said, I havn't read the DoW books, although I assume thats where the surfing terminators came from.

What upsets me the most is that he is pretty much the only one writing about Eldar. Baring Remmie's work on the Gothic War (required reading) and Farseer (required reading) we don't have much eldar, which is a shame.

I got the Blood Ravens omnibus...so I'll soon have a review for this. While I enjoyed Eldar Prophecy, I got to admit that I've heard awful things about these books, so we'll see.
