Default Big Brother (not the TV show, non-40K)

the first chapter in my book.
12th November 2014
Approx. 100 Miles Southwest of Murzuq, Libya.

Dropping slowly out of the sky, twelve men could be seen, chutes streaming out above them. This was team Epsilon of the Airborne Parachute Entry Division, APED for short. Epsilon had been assigned to take out a terrorist base in Lybia.

Captain Daniel Rush of APED team Epsilon yanked on his string and felt a yank as the parachute opened. His team copied him and in a few seconds the entire team had gone from a super-fast descent to a slow drift down to earth. His team comprised of himself, his second and ten soldiers, all of which Rush had worked with some time in the past, but only six of which was in his regular team. Rush had seen a lot of action, and his experience belied his age of twenty-eight.
‘Hammer, you there?’, came the voice from the radio.
‘Bulldog’, replied Rush.
Hammer was his code, and Bulldog was his second’s, Greg Cardyle.
‘We still following the plan?’ he asked.
‘Yeah. Hammer out’.
The Infra-red Plotting Device was spot on, and Rush and Epsilon touched down exactly where they planned. The team’s chutes were off as soon as they touched ground, and they split up into two six-man squads, Rush leading one and Bulldog leading the other. Rush’s team consisted of the new men assigned to him due to casualties, whilst the members of his usual team went with Bulldog.
The base was an old construct previously used as a refreshing stop for American troops, but now it housed a particularly dangerous group of terrorists. Four days previously, they had gotten their hands on a nuclear missile being transported to Germany by plane. The terrorist’s own planes had intercepted the transport and taken it over, seizing the nuke and bringing it back to the base. Epsilon’s mission was simple. Drop in, and take the nuke, no matter the cost.
Rush entered the building via the large hangar where he suspected the bomb to be. He burst in and raised his Namken R-22, closely followed by his team. The terrorists must have heard them arrive, because they were ready. There was about fifteen of them lined up to face Rush and his team. They opened fire on the terrorists, and they fell in short order, but the man closest to Rush flew backwards as a bullet hit him in the arm. Rush looked down at the man, known as Dino. He was obviously in pain, but he had bound the wound and had holstered his R-22 and held his Panther pistol in his left hand.
“I can do it”, he said to Rush.
“I know”, replied Rush.
They headed off towards the nuke, which was positioned at the other end of the hangar. Fire burst out from the balcony running around halfway up the hangar, and the team returned fire, felling the terrorists. They reached the nuke and three of the team ran round to the back and began to push the wheeled mount that it rested on.
Fire erupted once again and a soldier called Dean ‘Punter’ Ferguson who was pushing the nuke, exploded into a bloody red mess. Rush quickly moved to take his place and placed his shoulder on the mount and pushed. The nuke edged closer to the doors, with Dino and a veteran named Ian ‘Fatale’ O’Connor providing cover fire. The team were around fifty feet from the door when it burst open, revealing around twenty-five terrorists, all of them intent on taking out this small team trying to take their most prized weapon.
Rush looked at the terrorists lined up infront of him.
"Oh, shit"

Ah...sorry. I've also decided to change the name, but I don't know what to yet.
