Default The Horus Heresy Books

Well, I stopped by my Waldenbooks today and low and behold I found......TWO of The Horus Heresy books for $7.99 each. Quickly I grabbed them up and added them to my collection. However, I'm not sure which book goes first or much about the order of the The Horus Heresy series. So my question for you guys, what books are already out for this series and what order are they in? Currently, I have: Galaxy In Flames and Horus Rising.

The order goes: Horus Rising, False Gods, Galaxy in Flames. Enjoy the books by the way - they're some of the best the Black Library has come up with in some time.

I see. Glad to see I have two books out of the series, instead of one book from TWO series like it seemed by the back covers. Also, is there another series that expands on Horus' heresy?

There's the Horus Heresy art books (a 4-part series), each called Visions of <blank> and illustrated by the meister himself, John Blanche. Check out the Black Library website.

It says on the back of book three that it concludes the opening trilogy. So you can guess there will be at least 3 more books, or 6 or 9 (etc, etc i'd love to see 18) The next book, next spring i think (flight of the eisenstein) is the next

Yeah I was wondering what they were going to do with that.....I mean, the Heresy only starts at the end of the trilogy....I was hoping we'd go right up to the Siege of Terra.

Oh, and I totally call this. The opening line from Horus Rising "I was there when Horus slew the Emperor" will defffffffinantly be used again, maybe as a conclusion line to one of the other books. Would be criminal not to. Also, was it just me or was the 2nd book over-saturated with foreshadowing?

Errrm using the first line multiple times has already been done at the beginning of the 3rd book...

Whats wrong with the forshadowing? False Gods is probably my favourite book of all time... its pure genius, hardly any fighting yet still he creates the incredible sense of action we've come to expect.

Possibly not the right place to ask, but would Terra have any surface to space anti ship weapons? If so, when Horus lowered his shields the Emperor could have just fired it, killed horus and not effectively killed himself...
I actually think this series might change it a bit. I think that possible Aximand lowers Horus' shields, and then gets killed by Abbadon...

I doubt that there were any surface-to-space weapons left under the Emperor's control by the time it got to that stage.

Oooh, great books.
I've just finished False Gods, and have Galaxy in Flames and Flight of the Eisenstein on my "to buy" list.
