GAME START
DEPLOYMENT
I won the roll-off and we faced off against each other, his troops all came embarked in Rhino and I had all my troops coming from the flanks while my carnifex, tyrand and warriors would hold down the fort.











CSM TURN 1
My opponent seized the initiative and quickly made his Rhino's rush forward towards the center of the board. His Defiler shot it's mighty battle cannon at the squad of warriors infront of it and killed 1. The havocks fired at the warriors as well and caused a wound.

TYRANID TURN 1
MOVEMENT PHASE
I moved my carnifex and tyrant foward, as well as 2 of my Warrior Units in an effort to take out the Rhinos and draw the Defiler's attention long enough for the Tyrant to swing by and attack it in close combat



ASSAULT PHASE
The tyrant and carnifex both assault Rhinos. The Tyrant in all his might does absolutely nothing to the Rhino, whilst the carnifex makes his targeted Rhino explode forcing the Khorne Berserkers withing to evacuate.











CSM TURN 2
MOVEMENT PHASE
All the Khorne Berserkers disembark and get within proximity of the carnifex and tyrant. The Defiler aims it's guns at the Warriors infront.





SHOOTING PHASE
The Khorne Berserkers disembarked from the 2 Rhinos near the Tyrant shoot their mighty plasma pistols and manage to cause enough wounds to wipe the Tyrant off the board in a storm of bolt pistol and plasma fire. Whilst the Khorne Berserkers facing the Carnifex have no such luck.





ASSAULT PHASE
The Khorne Berserkers then opt to assault the carnifex and unleash a storm of furious attacks which the carnifex manages to shrug off and counter attacks with equal fury killing a couple of Berserkers in the process making it a tied combat. The Defiler assaults the Warriors and crushes several of them as they can do nothing against it's mighty AV 12 armor.



TYRANID TURN 2
MOVEMENT PHASE
The Tyranid troops arrive from the reservves. 25 Deadly Genestealers enter from the flanks where the very unlucky Khorne Berserkers had just finished killing off the Hive Tyrant. The Warrior Unit on the right begins to move towards the Khorne Berserkers in an attempt to cut off their escape path and simultaneously assault with the genestealers on the right. The Warriors on the left side of the board move forward to support the Carnifex facing off against the Khorne Berserkers.





SHOOTING PHASE
The Genestealers perform their RUN move getting even closer to the Khorne Berserkers than before. Their time is nearing and end...



ASSAULT PHASE
The genestealers launch a massive assault on everything in their path, Khorne Berserkers and Rhinos alike. The Warriors support their charge from the left. The Carnifex and Warriors on the other side of the board engage the Khorne Berserkers there and manage to wipe the board clean of them at the same time that the Warriors and Genestealers on the right annhilate all Berserkers but fail to destroy the Rhinos. The Defiler wins combat vs the Warriors he was facing and consolidates towards a Carnifex that consolidated towards it.







CSM TURN 3
MOVEMENT & SHOOTING PHASE
The Chosen came in outflanking with their flamers engulfing the genestealers on the right flank in fiery death! However only a minimal amount of genestealers fall.



ASSAULT PHASE
The Defiler assaulted the wounded Carnifex and managed to land 3 solid wounds on it, with no armour saves to save him from being torn apart by the mighty iron claws of the defiler



GAME END
The game ended abruptly as the time limit was reached and the Tyranids had Kill Point advantage.

Final Result was

Tyranids 4 Kill Points
Chaos Space Marines 2 Kill Points

Great material, just like before! Well, maybe this one is a little less clear - I, for one, don't know why Chaos lost... But I really like this formula. Keep it up!

I was playing Tyranids (my main army) in this game and my opponent was Chaos. He only had 1: 30 hours to play so we tried to get as much done as we could.


Annihilation Results:
Tyranids Kill Points Earned: 4
3 Khorne Berserker Units
1 Rhino


Chaos Space Marines Kill Points Earned: 2
1 Hive Tyrant
1 Warrior Unit


In turn 3 Chaos killed the Carnifex with the defiler so one more kill point.

I didn't get to do my turn 3 because the time ended, but if I had, the genestealers and warriors on the right would've wiped out the 2 rhinos and the chosen earning me another 3 kill points. Making it 7 to 3. Either way it was a Tyranid win the way the game was going until the Defiler started blasting the battle cannon at things behind cover everything else was too far on the left to do anything.

Ah, I see. I must point out however that CSM tend to do better and better in later turns due to their melee power; I don't know how it goes against Tyranids though.

Melee is a tyranid's strong point.

I play both armies, and definetly Tyranid Melee > Chaos Space Marine.

specially genestealers, as you see how they wiped out the khorne berserkers.

but yeah this game was just decided by who had the most kill points before the game ended.

Well good battle report. Question: Why play a 2000pts game when you only have an hour and a half to play? Wouldn't a 1K point game been better?

As a look at both of your lists, its seems that yours was superior. You also got lucky, A. his lord with terminator escort didn't get into combat B. All of your genestealer came on the board on the same flank and fleeted enough to get into close combat.

But luck has to do a lot about this game.

a little box of dialogue is needed for the khorne berzerkers when the genestealers outflank.

I suggested we play 1500 because of the time limit but he insisted that he wanted to try out his 2000p list so thats what we played. Time Limits are just good as turn limits in most cases anyway.
