[glow=Green,2,300]Orks List found here:[/glow] http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=60513.0
[glow=brown,2,300] Tau List:[/glow] FireWarriors x 10, Kroot x 12, Crisis Suits x 3, Crisis Suit HQ x 1 (2+ sv, FNP & 4 wounds), Stealth Suit Team Alpha x 6, Stealth Suit Bravo Team x 6. "Our Kommandos have spotted more of dem pesky blueskins up ahead. It seems that they are trying to SECURE & CONTROL three landing sites. Now da way I see it is that we are going to lay waste to them blueskins and booby trap, the landing site. Any questions from you gits...? Yes I said booby trap you good for nuttin git." Turn 1: "Explodes like a squig in a pot of boiling water" (O): BigMek GearGrot positions himself with 5 kommandos on the second floor of a blowup building which gave them superb fields of fire. Once again like in the last battle he got a funny feeling inside his head that he and his boyz can win this fight by shooting up dem pesky gitz. He can see 2 blurred groups out to the west of him which he slowly identifies as those pesky stealth suits. "Send a grot runner to tell the Lootas, that 1 Killa Khan and dem Stormboyz to hunker down in dat bunker beside them cause they are going to be taking a lot of fire from some weedy stealth suits. Have dem stormboyz prepare for a counter charge on dem stealth when I call my WAAAGGH!!!" With the grot runner on his way the BigMek starts up his SAG so he can target the large group of kroot out to his front, killing 7 out the 12. The Kommandos and Lootas open up on them as well bringing down the rest of the Kroot except for one who is so scared that he decides to hide in a crater (pinned). All three Killa Khans open fire on the FireWarrior but only manage to kill 1 of them due to the ruined buidling they are hiding in. Both warbuggies ZOOM out from behind the building the BigMek is in and send a salvo of rokkits at the 3 Crisis Suits. BOOM!!! One of them explodes like a squig in a pot of boiling water. The 2 remaining suites decided to fall back and regroup on the edge of the battlefield. (T): Enrage at the us Ork's ability to lay down the Dakka the Skyray blows up one of the buggies and marker lights the other for the Crisis Suit Commander which also blows up. The Firewarriors try desperately to take down a Killa Khan but their shots just bounce off of its armour. On the west side of the board one of the Stealth suit teams has the same luck on a killa khan where as the other Stealth Suit team brings down two of the Loota Boyz. The Stealth teams move back after shooting and the Crisis Suit Commander moves up towards the ork lines. Turn 2: "Ignore the Stealth Suits and focus on the rest" (O): Having seen what happens to the warbuggies the three trukks just stay behind cover waiting for BigMek GearGrot to say when they should launch their attack. Everything one else just jockeyed for a better fire position. "Ignore the Stealth Suits and focus on the rest we will deal with them later." As BigMek GearGrot screamed that out he fired another blast of snotling but this time at the FireWarriors in the ruined building. All of the Killa Khans also decided that the FireWarriors would be their target and when the dust clear 4 of them lay dead on the ground. The rest of the Firewarriors became Pinned from part of the ceiling colasping in on them due to the SAG. The Kommandos fired both of their bigshootas at the remaining kroot leaving nothing but his beak. Seeing that the 2 Crisis Suits had regrouped the 3 remaining Lootas opened up on them pulling one of them down in a bloody mess. The Killa Khan position on the west moved up beside the Lootas in the bunker so that they would be shielded from the pesky stealth suits. (T): The Crisis Suit Commander, the lone Crisis Suit and the Stealth Suits all moved up in line with the center of the battlefield closing the gap on us Orks. The Crisis Suit Commander stunned one of the Khans located by BigMek GearGrot with the help of the Skyray via marker lights. The Skyray also managed to blowup on the trukks with some indirect fire but luckily the trukk just gridded to a halt. On the west side both squad of them pesky stealth suits target the lone Killa Khan that was shielding the Lootas but only manage to blow off its power klaw. Once again though both Stealth Teams moved back making it hard for anything to target them while Crisis suits tried to close the gap even more. Turn 3: A bunny in the Sky (O): "Trukk squad Alpha and Bravo move to the west and support them Lootaz just in case anything gets close and the rest of ya just sit tight for a little bit longer. Trukk squad Charlie since ye trukk is gone just hide in the wrecked buggies." Having issued his order BigMek GearGrot sucked up another batch of snotling to fire at the 5 remaining FireWarriors. The snotlings manage to eat their way through 2 of the Firewarriors and brought more of the ceiling down on to them pinning them once again. All of the boyz claimed they were reloading but GearGrot knew they where staring at the bunny shaped cloud in the sky instead. (T): The tau took full advantage of the Bunny shaped cloud by killing one of the Kommandos, stunning one out of the two Killa Khans located by the BigMek, blowing up the west Killa Khan, and blowing up both Trukk Alpha and Bravo. Trukk alpha lost three orks in the blast and Bravo lost 2 but both of them manage not to get pinned under the twisted metal of their wrecked trukks so they could stare at the bunny cloud some more. The Crisis Suit Commander sparked up his Flamer and tried to BBQ the Lootas but found that he was well short of doing so. The stealth suits once again jumped back after letting loose a load of dakka making it next to impossible to target them while the Crisis Suits moved closer to the Lootas. Turn 4: "WAAAGGH!" (O): Thinking to himself outloud BigMek GearGrot muttered "We need to chop up at least one them weedy stealth suits, even if it means the Stormboyz are mowed down afterwards...and that Crisis Suit Commander just tried to BBQ my Loota Boyz so he must go as well. I better call the Waaaggh! to signal the attack. WAAAGGH!" Unleashing one hell of a mighty WAAAGGH! GearGrot tried to fired his SAG at the same time but was unable to aim the gun properly thus missing Firewarriors completely. The Killa Khans and the Kommandos did however manage to kill two more of them, leaving only one of them behind. Finally getting their chance to fight, the Stormboyz fired up their rokkits and launched a charge against one of the Stealth Teams. The Stormboyz massacred the Stealth team without loosing a single Stormboy and also manage to consolidate into the other Stealth Team. Mean while Trukk Squad Alpha charged the Crisis Suit Commander and inflicting one wound on him whiling losing one boy. The Crisis suit commander took his hit and ran out of close combat towards Trukk Squad Bravo. (T): The Skyray stunned yet another Killa Khan by the BigMek and also manage to kill one more Kommando which happened to cause them to run off the battlefield. The Crisis Commander flamed one of the boyz in Trukk squad Bravo which meant he was unable to charge them now. Meanwhile the remaining Stealth Team used their lighting quick reflexes to kill four Stormboyz causing them to run in fear at the expense of one Stealth Suit. The Stormboyz forgot to spark up their jump packs and where overran by the five remaining Stealth Suits. Turn 5: "Huzzah their Commader is Dead" (O): BigMek GearGrot fired up his SAG and targeted the last of the three man Crisis Suit Team inflicting a single wound and pinning him down with a horde of snotling to deal with. Trukk Squads Alpha and Bravo poured out the dakka on the Crisis Suit Commander and inflicted a single wound on him. They quickly charge him and chop him up into pieces at the expense of two slugga boyz. Trukk Squad Charlie moved towards a landing sight beacon between them and the skyray hoping the wouldn't get shot up in the process. (T): The Skyray pilot backed away from the Trukk boyz in front of him after seeing a power klaw on the Nob and tries to kill some of them but completely missing them all. The 5 stealth suits move toward the landing sight beacon in front of the Lootaz but have a long way to go before they can contest it. Turn 6: "Don't forget to secure the objectives this time" (O): "Don't forget to secure the objectives this time you silly gits." BigMek GearGrot sparks up his SAG gun for one last time and really revs the hell out of it this time since he is going to try his luck at the Skyray. "GAAAAAAGH!" and puff the Skyray is sucked into the Warp in a matter of seconds leaving a landing sight secure in Trukk squad Charlie's hands. The remaining two Killa Khans secure the second landing sight while the Lootas secure the final landing sight. (T): Before the rest of the Orks can shoot the 5 Stealth Suits and the lone Crisis Suit decide that they don't want to end up like the Skyray and flee off the the battlefield leaving all three landing sites in control of us Orks. "Tell the Kommandos they can rig up the landing sites with the Booby traps and stop your snikkering when I say Booby Trap you bunch of gits Game result: Massacre and 3/3 landing sites incontrol of the Orks. Casualty List Orks: 11 Stormboyz, 5 Slugga Boyz from Trukk Alpha, 3 Slugga Boyz from Turkk Bravo, 2 Kommandos, 2 Loota Boyz, 3 trukks, 2 warbuggies and 1 Killa Khan Casualty List Tau: Everthing except for 4 Stealth Suits. Highlights: 1. Out Shooting Tau in both range and dakka once again 2. Mek rolling Double 6's in turn 6 and destroying the Skyray in a blink of an eye. 3. Killa Khans soaking up an immense amount of Dakka. 4. Massacring a squad of Stealth suits and losing zero Stromboyz Lowlights: 1. Stormboyz getting mopped by second Stealth Team 2. Having all three trukks popped. MVP for Orks: Killa Khans that protected the Lootas by soaking up a ton of fire from the stealth suits by blocking LOS to them. MVP for Tau:: Skyray even though it was sucked into the warp it managed to destroy 1 warbuggie and three trukks. |

Another great report. Don't worry about stealing my format, I find it faltering that you would think my style was worthy of thievery.
Glad to see your boyz remembered there were mission objectives. You got real lucky with that Skyray killing shot too. You do know that if you charge Stealth Suits, even in the open, they go at Int 10? I found it odd you didn't loose any Stormboyz to them, but you could have just scared the hell out of them. I'll give you another +1 that doesn't count, but I'm sure Iveatch will give you some real karma. |

Stormboyz have stickbombz and the stealth suits are treated as always being in cover (according to my opponent) so that meant we attacked at the same time. He rolled bad and only got 1 wound which I saved on top of it.

Then you conducted the fight the right way, and your opponent had bad rolls. Yes, Stealth Suits do always count as being in cover when charged, because of their stealth fields.

He was leaping the two stealth teams forward so they could shoot and then back so it would be hard to see them. I knew however not to waste my shots on them due to their save and the ability to not even see them. They were targeting my 5 lootas that were in a bunker (height 2) and a killa khan that was beside the bunker. I put the stormboyz behind the bunker/killa khan this cause him to be fearful on how close he could get to the lootas/killa khan. Actually one of the stealth teams came up short on range when targeting the lootas. So when I called my waaagghh I launch my stormboyz over the bunker and charged one of the squads all in one go.

I write my battreps not in turn based style but one that reads as a real time battle since it flows better for reading.
