Default Army Lists on the Forums

For those of you who have noticed the sudden warning messages that were cropping irregularly today (and sometime yesterday too), I can now reveal why they were appearing.

I have been working on the Army List section of the site, making it ready so that we can import your army lists across to the forums using a simple BBC tag (provided by the Army List section itself, in Army Tools bit (there's now another button that says "Convert Army/View BBC")).

All you need to do is press that button when your viewing your Army List (or subset list) and then copy the BBC code provided into one of your posts.
As an example of the format of the Army Lists it generates:

[armylist]187.101[/armylist]

I thought this might be what you were up to when you mentioned the warnings were to do with the army list system.

Good show, old bean. Good show

I try not to break things, but sometimes you've got to break a few heads eggs to make head-strew an omelet.

Anyway, back into the corners of the Tau Online server to create the next surprise :shifty:

Not that you can go far with the chain and ninja scorpions forcing you to work tirelessly for us TOers.

I like the army list feature alot. Thanks slave FT!

But the ninja scorpions are there for me to kee you guys in line, not the other way around.

And as for the chain, you can't really go taking that off me now.. I've given it a nickname (it's Chainy the Chain), bought it gifts, celebrated it's birthday... the works!

Not to complain, but a) the calculator doesn't show up and
b) Where the heck is the BBC generate button?
Now, i can simply take the code generated, take the HTML, convert it to BBC and remove the coded by FT link etc so that my army list doesn't have your fingerprints all over it when it's posted (if you weren't popular enough)

BTW the forum clock is out by 1 hour

Any better now Sorck (just had to rebuild that bit of the army list show it shows up right where you were looking).

Right next to where you find the button to delete armies.

I wasn't sure about that myself... Anyhoo it's been removed.

Its a matter of the time offset/server not taking day light savings into account.

I am happy that the kinks have been worked out of the army-list. As I said before, I still really like the idea of it. I think that all these warhammer forums should implement something like it. Such a brilliant concept, surprised it's not been used before.

Kinda hard when most of your models [in the same unit] have different equipment from each other...

Well, not as such, as you can just list that under equipment I would imagine.
