Eldar Human Hybrid.
Maybe he was created using eldar genes (possibly from one of the more powerful farseers). is this possible or am i now officially a fluff conspiracy theorist?

Generally the archetype within fantasy and sci-fi is that if a character looks good, then he/she is good, if they're ugly then they're probably evil. (I'm looking at YOU TOLKIEN!!)

I think the term is 'Heretic'.

Don't worry, we will purge your soul with cleansing fire. Burn him!

Very very random.

Especially since the old canon fluff suggests he is a starchild created by the sacrifice of thousands (pretty much the entire population) of shamans in 8000 BC.

And the Emperor's psychic powers works differently to how an Eldar's works, or for that matter, how any mortal's work. Other psyckers are merely conduits that may shape and draw power from the warp. The Emperor actually creates a kind of aura in warp space with his presence and draws on that instead. It's a different tier of power.

Also when the Emperor was created, the Eldar's had no farseers, at least not by that name. Before the fall, the Eldar put much greater faith in the old priests and lords of great houses than farseers. Farseers were more valued after the fall due to how they may avert extinction for a craftworld.

"Humanity originally was aware of the Warp and coexisted with it. There were certain gifted individuals who could communicate with the Warp and use it for many purposes - the tribal healers, shamans, medicine men and other spiritual leaders of early humanity. These people's spirits could even flow through the Warp seamlessly after death and be reborn in new human bodies.
However, as humanity gained more knowledge, their secret desires for more power and pleasures grew and corruption began. The spiritual leaders began to notice the changes as their psychic gifts diminished and reincarnation became harder. They called a great council, in which the leaders decided none of them alone could stop this deterioration - but perhaps together they could. They decided that they would take their own lives in order to be reborn as a god of unimaginable power."
although there are some references in Warhammer 40,000, that he was born in the 8th millennium BC in central Anatolia (were ever that is). He grew up in an isolated and poor rural area and it was rumoured that he had the power to stop his own aging and numerous other potent and miraculous psychic abilities.

Not so much he is a Turk, just that's where the first civilisations sprung up.

Wasn't there a fifth chaos god back-in-the-day? My chaos playing friend swears by it...maybe that was the god the psykers ascended to?

Malal was purged from GW canon after the guy who came up with it left the company.

Officially, he does not exist. Not even in the way the squats doesn't exist, he never did exist officially.

Cool Wikipedia entry on "Malal". Maybe he was the entombed chaos god that Eisenhorn found at the end of one of his adventures (can't remember which book it was but he confronted Pontius Glaw in his new mechanical body).
