Default MEQ and GEQ

I know this will sound like a very newb-like thing for me to say but... what do MEQ and GEQ stand for?

Marine Eqivalent and Guard Eqivalent.

MEQ is basically anything that is T4 with a 3+ Save (ie: Marines and Necrons).

GEQ is anything with T3 and a 5+ save (ie: Guard, Eldar, Dark Eldar).
GEQ also sometimes refers to T4 4+ save units as well.

I assumed that it meant

MEQ- 3+ save (Marines, Necrons and SISTERS)
GEQ- 4/5+ (Guard, Eldar, Orks etc)

Mainly because I think that the increased toughness of the model is less likely to affect it's survivability than their armor save...

Also, there's TEQ (Terminator Equivalent) which is anything with a 2+ save (however many of these things there are I have no idea)

The Toughness matters, trust me.

For example:

12 Shas'La with Pulse Rifles vs MEQ:
6 hits, 4 wounds, 1.3 kills.

12 Shas'La with Pulse Rifles vs Sisters:
6 hits, 5 wounds, 1.5 kills.

That extra notch adds up.

What I think he meant was that the toughness, whilst important if it is the only variable, is less valuable than a good armour save against most basic weapons.
