I wonder if there's a Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy in the Space Marines?

Well Uriel Ventris was wondering whether he should have went down the path of the Ultramarines, because then he would have had a family and a successor.

Probably, most marines think of the family they could never have and the oath of brotherhood they have with their fellow marines.
(read the Uriel ventris books they are awesome: Chains of Command, Nightbringer, and Dead Sky, Black Sun

It is very, very hard for Space Marines to get drunk, given their advanced anti-toxin and filtration systems. That is why Space Wolf drinking contests are really about who can be the first person to pass out, rather than the last as you might normally expect.

That's a first for me.

But true enough. Space marines do have advanced anti-toxin and filtration systems. That's why they will never get kidney failure, liver cancer and stuff like that. They are built to be immune to diseases and old age.

Re: Can Space Marines love?

From the fluff i've read marines are inmune to alchohol completely and this made it impossible to get them drunk. But space wolves had the oh-so-original viking image, which would mean keeping them sober 24 seven would be odd. So GW invented Fenrisian Ale, the only drink that can get a marine drunk.

No, space marines can get drunk, but they mostly prefer to have wine.
Besides we are getting off topic

for a space marine to get drunk, it would take ALOT, i mean, ALOT of Liquor, i mean, LOADS of it, because their metabolism neutralizes much of the effects of alcohol

XD this topic is the best one i have seen since i have been a member. in all reality, the marines probably are conditioned very much like the Hospitalars, and Knight's Templar from the crusades. they are warrior monks with super-strenght, toughness, are immune to damn near everything, and even their wounds close over almost instantaneously. it seems one of those "once you're in, you're in for good" kind of things, and there will be no marine hanky panky ever, in my opinion... unless all of a sudden, the bolter bitches become huge amazon women with all the crazy buffs the marines have... but that's a picture i really don't want to think about. eww... kissing with betcher's glands... not fun... only minor third degree burns.
