Default Why The Imperium Will Probably Lose Medusa V

Yes, Medusa V is here. The campaign that commits a large amount of Warhammer 40,000 armies into the fry. Countless regiments of guardsmen, be it from Iceworlds, deathworlds, or normal-world, will be thrown into the breach, and probably won't come out again. Hundreds and Hundreds of Space Marines, will plunge form the skies, pierce the clouds, and land, via drop-pod or Thunderhawk, to kill in his name. Thousands and thousands of tanks will rumble free of their ships, reload their guns, and probably Get blasted into a piece of scrap metal, to be used by the nearest guardsmen squad as cover.

Tau will scream on by in their Manta Missile destroyers, deploy via orbit, and obliterate everything in their path.
Tyranids will be piled upon the dead, scrambling for the defenders, scrambling for the kill, scrambled, just like the body of that guardsman over there. Orks will come stompin' in. Wiz dere shellz' flyin' and dere rokkit burstin', dere 'ere to krump.

As the bodies pile and the ground churns under the constant footprint, or the squeal of tracks, who really would win?

Back to reality.

I predict, that, the Imperium will not win.

Brand me a heretic if you will, but the Emperors faith will not hold true this day.

The majority of the commanders of the Emperors finest, are between 10 and 12 years old. Which means, even if they do win, would they have the courage, let alone maturity, to report a victory? Not all, but I'd say most new young Space Marines players, probably don't have a huge grasp on the rules.

What about the older Space Marine players(you cry out from the silence)they'll probably win and report some of their battles!

Probably not. First of all, if you're a veteran, you probably have a job, a wife, maybe kids, and a lot of other things you have to complete in a day.
You probably might not even get to play one warhammer game a week, and even if you did, where would you get time to report it to a gaming center?

Now that you're running out of ideas, you shout out: "Imperial guardsmen! They'll save us!"

Of course they won't.

There are more Space Marine players then Imperial Guardsmen players. Imperial Guard lose much, much more then Space Marines.

So, there's almost no chance that they'll really make a difference.

A final point. The newest released armies, are probably Tau and Tyranids.
Both participating in this campaign.
The hordes are coming, the mass of gibberish speaking Tau Fanatics (Railgunz pwn!) and the real horde of Tyranids.

The War is coming. Reload your lasgun.

Discuss.

So, wait a moment. If your a vet you won't report it, and if your a newer player you won't report it. How does this only apply to marines??? Your saying that all marine vets have jobs, but other vets don't.

No, most Veteran players have jobs. I'm just saying the majority of teen veterans play other armies, and have moved out of the Space Marine phase. Nothing against anything, I'm jsut throwing up soem points, you guys should discuss among yourselves.

Eh. To a real fan of the game, taking 20 minutes out of your time can't be a major hassle.

I think we might even be able to report online!

You left out the Chaos players in your introduction. But aside from that, the latest releases might play a large amount upon the battles taking place .

I guess I don't have much faith in the honesty of reports. Unless they have taken out registered vs. unregistered battles altogether, we are going to see a repeat of Eye of Terror. In that case, it is all going to come down to how well the Imperium plays the campaign metagame, not really how Imperials players do in their battles.

That's a good point. But, How many 12 year olds are going to do that, when they can be playing street hockey!

Yey street hockey.

And it matters not how each army fares, its the supreme overlord that is GW who will truly decide who will win Medusa V, whatever army they feel will bring msot profit will probably find themselves helped in some way.

You also missed out eldar and Dark Eldar in the intro

Also you do have a point, but there are always the sisters of battle and the inquisition to bulk up the wins.

I'm pretty sure Games Workshop will let any army win, they won't decide, because in the end it's all for fun.
