Default New Tau scenario

I was board so I wrote this scenario. I'm not sure where this should be so if the moderators want to move it that is fine with me.


Tau Convoy Attack!

The Tau have been known to implement hit and run tactics against enemy supply lines with devastating results. Unfortunately these attacks do not always go to plan…

Objective: Both forces are now aware of each others presence. The only way out of it now is complete annihilation of all others!

Turns: As long as it takes!


Forces:

Attacker (Must be Tau!):

3x Stealth Shas’Ui and 1x Shas’Vre with markerlight, (Deployed on table)
3x Stealth Shas’Ui and 1x Shas’Vre with markerlight, (Deployed on table)
3x Stealth Shas’Ui and 1x Shas’Vre with markerlight, (Deployed on table)

750 points extra all in reserve,
6x Seeker missiles at least spread over the Tau tanks,


Defender (Any other race):

750 points worth of units (6 units only. Must be deployed with and in dedicated transports),
500 points extra in reserve,

Air Support: Up to 750 points of flyers each (Both sides must have an equal amount.)


Special Rules:

Seeker Ambush (Tau):

The Tau regularly set ambushes for unwary convoys. Pathfinders and stealth teams mark targets to guide long range seeker missiles into the enemy.

Just before the first Tau turn, 6 of the Tau seeker missiles must be launched 1 on every transport and all hits are resolved against side armour (Each count as already being marked by the stealth teams).


Q-Tanks:

To combat sneak attacks on convoys, tanks disguised as lightly armoured vehicles, are integrated into convoys. They can be disguised using advanced disruption pods or, in typically orky fashion, just having a big gun stuffed on top!

The defender secretly nominates 2 transports during deployment. Before the seeker missiles are launched they reveal the transports, they have the following advantages added for the rest of the game, a single strength 8 AP 1 weapon (Turret Mounted) and +1 to side and front armour values.


Plan Foiled!:

The attackers have slipped! They have revealed their presence! Confused troopers pile out to meet this threat.

If the defender seizes the initiative all units may disembark but have to take a pinning test to represent their confusion.


Deployment: The defenders convoy sets up in a straight line down a road straight down the longest centre line. The attacker may then set up anywhere according to the infiltrate rules (But count as out of sight).


I would any advice or changes anyone wants to give me.

Interesting. I like the idea behind it, though I suspect the fliers bit is a little too specific for most players, as is the requirement for stealth teams.

Perhaps allow a certain point val of models with DS or infiltrate to begin on the table instead?

Ok then. Instead of stealths, you may select upto 350 points of stealths, scouts (pathfinders) or kroot. Upto 2 squads of battlesuit may deepstrike automaticly in the first turn.
