Default Project: his Dark Materials

Well I was thinking of doing this a while back but never got around to it. Basicaly I was thinking of having 2 armies. The forces of Lord Asrial and The forces of the authority. So far have some stats for lord Asrials forces but I can't think of a suitable way to represent daemons. Help and advise wanted.

Brilliant!

I like the idea, I may have to look at the books again before I can comment well, though...

Just one thing - if you're going to put Special Characters in, Will must be armed with a Warscythe .

Asriel's force including Angels defeats the point - drop them. Both sides should probably have access to Gyrocopters, Zepalins, and Baloons... and perhaps make Galvespians a Fast Attack choice... Infiltration, Jetpack movement?

Good idead. I'll get rid of the angels on Asriels force but if I take gallivespians off troops then all there will be is Africans and Gyptians, and how different are they going to be?

I do remember it being mentioned that Asriel had somesort of Lizardmen fighting for him but I don't know their names.

Blagh, I'll have to go and reread the books... it may take me some time, as I have to get through a final-assignment novel that I realy don't want to read first.

Spear. Counts as a power weapon, can also be thrown in the shooting phase in which case it has this profile.

Special rules

Fly: Angels have immense wings and can fly. Angels count as being jump troopers

Intense light: A high angel seems to always be bathed in some mysterious light. This light is so bright that it all butblinds those who look directly at it. All enemy units wishing to shoot at a high angel require 6s to hit. Enemy unitsdo not have to check range to high angels or any unit theyare in when the night fighting rules are in place.

Immense knowledge: Angels know where to find many of the gates connecting the many worlds. Angels may deepstrike

Hard to see: Low angels are barely illuminated by the light which bathes other angels, and thus low angels appear almost invisable. Any enemy unit wishing to assault or charge a unit of low angels mustfirst pass a Ld test.

Dont angels have realy thin flesh, so shouldnt they all have 2 toughness (less then an IG)

Good idea, but I think that 3 is more reasonable, we don't want high angels getting insta killed by a strength 4 weapon now do we?

Well, it says that angels are envious of humans because of their flesh, and an IG is a human with T3
