Default D&D: Wolan Adventure [Game thread]

The caravan wanders slowly through the forest trail, the clip-clop of hooves and the creek of wheels echoing through the thick trees. The air has a sharp, icy tang, a reminder of a hard winter.

The caravan consists of four vehicles, each sporting the livery of the Augent Knights; a mercenary company. Most of the soldiers have seen better days, tired and scarred by long conflicts. However, there are plenty of fresh recruits, looking to their first battle with a mix of fear and excitement.

The carts stop in a clearing just off the road, giving the horses time to rest whilst the men set up camp. Klaus, the Paymaster, gathers up a small band of the new recruits.
"Well then," he begins, picking out recruits, "Kalar... Blatan... Saygmar... Abraelus... Saedrus. Time to see if you men can earn your keep!"

The recruits are gathered quickly around the Paymaster, "I have a simple task for you all. Nothing too tricky... we received a courier, stating that the unicorn that dwells within this forest has been kidnapped by Goblins. I want you to find her. If I were you, I would head a little way back up the road... there was a small trail about ten minutes up. Follow that, and you'll get yourself some Goblins. If you're not back in two hours, we presume you dead. Be sure to come back alive, because I hate having to rob corpses."

Note: The rogue equipment has been kept fairly similar... largely because of simplicity. Don't worry, you will get plenty of oppertunity to change your equip. Though a lot of players wanted Daggers, they have been left out... largely because they are a very weak weapon!]
